【典例1】

1．（2021·四川资阳·中考真题）Huawei has put so much into research ________ it has become a great company in the world.

A．that B．while C．because D．as

【详解】

句意：华为在研究上投入了如此多, 以至于它已经成为世界上一家伟大的公司。

考查连词辨析。that常与so连用，so...that意为“如此……以至于”；while当……时候；because因为；as作为。根据题干可知，本题考查固定词组so...that，that引导结果状语从句，故选A。

【典例2】

2．（2021·内蒙古呼和浩特·中考真题）In Chinese culture, the young won’t start dinner ________ the elders take their seats.

A．after B．when C．until D．although

句意：在中国文化中，在长辈就座之前，年轻人是不会开始用餐的。

考查连词辨析。after在……之后；when当……时；until直到；although尽管。根据“the young won’t start dinner … the elders take their seats”可知，此处用not…until表示“直到……才”，故选C。

考查连词。so that为了；when当……时；till直到；after在……之后；根据空格前后句可知，关窗户的目的是挡住昆虫，此处应用so that引导目的状语从句，故选A。

句意：我想知道是否明天他有时间。如果他有空，我会邀请他在我们学校演讲。

考查动词的时态。动词“wonder”后是“if ”引导宾语从句，表达“是否明天他有时间”,根据“tomorrow” 可知从句是一般将来时，动词用“will have”。后半句是“if”引导的条件状语从句，主句用一般将来时，从句是一般现在时表示将来，表达“如果他有空”，be动词用“is”。故选A。

【技巧点拨】

用法详解： 

在复合句中，做状语成分的从句叫状语从句。

常见的状语从句可分为：时间、条件、地点、原因、方式、让步、比较、结果、目的等从句，由不同的引导词引导。

考点一：时间状语从句

考点二：条件状语从句

条件状语从句的引导词主要有if和unless，两者可转换。

在条件状语从句中，从句常用一般现在时表将来，即主将从现。

如：You will fail the exam if you don’t work hard.=You will fail the exam unless you work hard.

如果不努力学习，你考试会不及格的。

考点三：原因状语从句

原因状语从句的引导词有because，since，as等。

注意：1. because和so不能同时使用。

如：He didn’t come to school yesterday because he was ill. 他昨天没来上学，因为他生病了。

2. since引导原因状语从句表示显然的或已为人知的理由，表示“因为，既然”

    如：since everyone is here, let’s start.既然大家都到期了，我们就开始吧。

考点四：让步状语从句

让步状语从句的引导词有though / although，even though / if等。

注意：though / although与but不能同时出现在一个句子里。

如：Though he is in poor health, he works hard.虽然他身体不好，但是他工作很努力。

考点五：结果状语从句

结果状语从句的引导词有so / such … that … 等。

（1）区分两种句式：

① so+adj./ adv.+that …

②such+(a / an)+adj.+n.+that …

如：Tom is so clever that he learns Chinese well. =Tom is such a clever boy that he learns Chinese well.

汤姆如此聪明，语文学得很好。

（2）注意：当名词前有much，many，little，few等词修饰时，只能用so。

如：You can’t spend so much time on computer games.你不能花这么多时间在网络游戏上。

考点六：目的状语从句

目的状语从句的引导词有so that，in order that等。

如：He stood up so that / in order that he could see the blackboard clearly. 

他站起来，以便能清楚地看到黑板。

注意：目的状语从句中一般都含有表示可能性的词语，如coule, will, would, can等。
