In the future, people may travel to Mars (火星) by waterpowered spaceship! Today’s spaceships are fine for getting things into space. These spaceships burn chemical fuels (燃料) , and they are very expensive. Scientists say that a waterpowered spaceship could make the trip to Mars much cheaper. Scientists think such a spaceship could be developed soon.
The key to the waterpowered spaceship is the engine (发动机). Regular (常规的) engines push spaceships by burning fuel. The water engine will use steam (水蒸气), created by solar panels (太阳能板) that heat water to a high temperature. Of course, the spaceship will have to carry a lot of water for the long trip to Mars. Today's spaceships could not carry that much water. But scientists think that a spaceship blown up like a balloon will make it come true.
One US company has already developed a spaceship like this. “Balloon” spaceships could carry enough water for a long trip. With the “Balloon” spaceships, enough water could be carried to power the engines and grow food during the trip. And the people on the spaceship might even get to take a hot bath!
Scientists say the biggest advantage (优势) of such a spaceship would be cost. The “Balloon” spaceship uses water to push it through space and costs about one thirtieth of a normal spaceship. If these scientists are correct, we may soon be on our way to Mars in a spaceship powered by water.

书面表达: (15分) (one possible version)
Dear classmates,
It’s my great honor to be here to give you a speech. Today I’d like to talk about the changes about me when I entered the middle school.
Great changes have taken place in many ways such as my appearance, my personality and my study. In the past, I was very fat and not tall. But now, I become strong and very tall after doing some exercise. And two years ago, I was too shy to talk with others. However, now I not only like chatting with my classmates but also like asking questions when I run into some trouble in subjects.
I think the most important change is my study. After two years’ hard work I have made great progress in all the subjects. At first, I had difficulty in studying. But luckily, I found some good ways to improve my grades. First, listen carefully in class and take notes. Second, make a list of questions that I don’t understand and then ask teachers after class. Last, go over what I have learned and review what I will learn.
In a word, I like the changes that have happened to me.
