Technlgy has undubtedly pened up the wrld fr me. Literally, in the case f my fully accessible hme. My windws are autmatic, and my frnt dr is autmatic t. There are als my wheelchairs. I guess that any wheelchair user will say the best inventin is that f the wheel. It’s a tl bringing independence and cmfrt.
Last week, I tk a well-deserved break frm wrk and went n a staycatin in my lcal area. On the first day, I was heading further ut in my pwer wheelchair than I’ve ever been n my wn. This chair is almst like a Transfrmer. I like the speed, the phne charger and the flexible feature. It’s a wnderful creatin.
Hwever, while there are many benefits that cme with technlgy, I still live in a disabling wrld. Fr example, ut in my pwer wheelchair that day, feeling free and easy, I headed straight t the shp nt far away. I deserve t feel heard and included when innvatin is cncerned. But when I gt there, I was cnfrnted by self-service checkuts. While they are designed fr easy and quick service, fr me and many ther disabled peple, the lack f face-t-face services can put us at a disadvantage. Nt nly are the checkuts far t high, they are awkwardly designed s that yu cannt apprach them with a wheelchair. S, I waited fr smene t assist me. In just a matter f a few hurs, I had seen hw technlgy and accessibility advancements have empwered me then, in the next breath, disabled me.
I still live in a disabling wrld with sub-standard accessibility. Therefre, disabled peple by and large are mre likely t rely n mechanical and technlgical devices such as lifts and cmmunicatin aids. Unfrtunately, these things are smetimes abused and mistreated, making the persn relying n them dependent n thers.

He came acrss many ther disabled peple by chance.
He waited quite a few hurs in rder t check ut.
He was unable t seek assistance frm thers.
He culdn’t use the self-service checkut by himself.
Why des the authr say he still lives in a disabling wrld?
He thinks it is nt easy t make his vice heard.
Sme shps are inaccessible t wheelchair users.
He finds it really hard t fit in with nn-disabled peple.
Things related t technlgy are smetimes ut f service.
What wuld be the best title fr the text?
My different views cncerning disability
Hw I make full advantage f technlgy
My lve-hate relatinship with technlgy
Hw I live independently as a disabled man

Als, sme hrrr fans think they culd survive the events n screen. That gives thse viewers a sense f superirity. We ften tease the typical image f hrrr films. Why d they try t escape the masked killer by running upstairs and hiding themselves? The characters ften make terrible decisins that lead t their deaths — decisins we as viewers believe we wuldn’t make.
S, whether it’s t help peple regulate their anxiety, t be thrilled by getting scared, r t feel superir teasing the decisins f the characters, there are many reasns peple lve watching hrrr films and if they really scare yu, maybe it’s best t watch them with the lights n.

After breakfast, I assigned my sn sme schlwrk.
Within nly minutes, he began t play happily with his best friend, ur cat, Rsie.
I yelled frm my rm where I was wrking and required him t get dwn t wrk, but in vain.
I wanted t lck the cat inside the bathrm. But thinking f his lneliness, I abandned the idea.
I walked up t the desk and remved the cat frm it fr several times, but still failed.
I decided t make a rule that…
Then I mved Rsie ff his bks and nt the side f the desk, making her lie dwn.
① “laughter came nt much later again”和 “after much thinking” 衔接了原文信息, 说明了儿子屡教不改和我内心的纠结。
② “lwered his head in tears and remained silent”描绘了儿子意识到妈妈决心后的害怕和乖巧,为下文妈妈去安抚儿子打下铺垫。
