I. Presentation 1. New words 2. Ask Ss to see some pictures to see the differences. Then compare some of their things with each other. e.g. Ball A is bigger than Ball B. Summarize the Comparatives. Write the opposite words according to the pictures. tall → ______ thin → _____ loudly → ______ short hair → _________ 2. There are three pairs of twin brothers and sisters in the picture. Who’s whose twin brother or sisters? Why? 3. Listen and number the pairs of twins in the picture. Check the answers. 4. Ask Ss to listen to the conversation again and complete the dialogue. Conversation 1 Boy 1: Is that Sam playing the guitar? Girl: No, that’s Tom. Sam has ________ than Tom. Boy 2: Both Tom and Sam can play the drums, but Sam plays them __ than Tom. Then point out the words in the box. Read them. Say, now listen and write the –er and –ier words in the first column and the words that use more in the second column. 2a Listen. Are the words in the box used with –(i)er or more? Complete the chart. 2. Listen again and complete the sentences.3. Work on 2b. 2b Listen. How are Tina and Tara different?
