Nowadays, we have quick and easy access to information and communicate/interact with each other via/through the Internet. However, the virtual world has also become a hotbed for uncivilized behaviors such as online bully or fraud (cheating/abuse/gossip/rumor/scandal). Therefore, I call upon/appeal to all students to surf the Internet in a civilized manner.

Here is how. Firstly, we need to use polite words such as ‘thank you, sorry to trouble, please,’ etc. on a regular basis to show others our respect and good online conducts. Nowadays, with the development of technology, artificial intelligence is becoming more and more popular. It is universally acknowledged that AI plays an important role in our daily lives.

On the one hand, I have strong grounds for believing that AI such as face recognition makes our lives much more convenient and safer. What’s of great importance is that AI like some robots can also do things that are too difficult or dangerous for people to do. Take the snake robots for example, they are able to get to places that people can’t go to and rescue people who were buried under the buildings in the earthquake.

On the other hand, with AI taking the place of people in some industries, it will be more difficult for people to get jobs to make a living. What’s more, it is because AI doesn’t have feelings or thoughts that some work will not be finished perfectly when they encounter some accidents.

Due to the frequent outbreaks of COVID-19 since the beginning of this term, we have to spend a long time learning online.

Generally, the advantages of online classes can be seen as follows. First, they are undoubtedly the perfect solution to ensure students’ academic progress. In addition, they break the time and space limitations, save traffic time and protect us from the risk of infection.

But the negative aspects are also apparent. For one thing, lacking face-to-face interaction, online classes make it easier for students who are poor at self-discipline to be distracted. For another, long time exposure to the Internet environment has a negative effect on our health.

To cope with the problems, I, first, set the same work and rest schedule as at school and strictly stick to it. When in class, I concentrate on the questions raised by teachers and think actively so as not to be distracted. During class breaks and leisure time, I often do indoor exercise and help with housework to keep fit.
