Many studies have shwn the learning-by-teaching effect. Students wh spend time teaching what they’ve learned shw better understanding and ability t remember knwledge than students wh simply spend the same time re-studying. But why des teaching help?
Researchers led by Alysius Wei Lun Kh did a study t test their idea that teaching imprves the teacher’s learning because it frces the teacher t retrieve(检索)what they’ve learned. In ther wrds, they believe that bringing t mind what we’ve learned leads t deeper and lnger-lasting acquisitin(获得)f that infrmatin than spending mre time re-studying.
The researchers asked 124 students t spend ten minutes studying a text with numbers n a tpic which is cmpletely new t them. They tld the students they culd take ntes while studying, but wuld teach the material afterwards withut ntes. After studying the text, the students were divided int fur grups. In ne grup the students spent five minutes delivering a lessn n the study material withut ntes. The ther grups either spent the same time cmpleting arithmetic(算术)prblems, teaching with a script(讲稿)r writing dwn all they culd remember frm the text-a frm f retrieval practice. A week later, all the students returned t the lab fr a surprise test f their knwledge and understanding f the text.
The imprtant finding is that the teaching-withut-ntes grup and the retrieval-practice grup utperfrmed the grup that cmpleted arithmetic prblems and the grup that taught with a script. In fact, the perfrmance f the teaching-withut-ntes grup and the retrieval-practice grup was cmparable.
The researchers said the result shws that the benefits f the learning-by-teaching methd are caused by retrieval practice; that is, the learning-by-teaching methd wrks nly when the teaching invlves retrieving the taught materials.
The new findings have a practical suggestin fr hw the learning-by-teaching methd is used in educatin. In rder t make sure that students learn and remember an educatinal material, they shuld internalize(内化)the material befre presenting it t thers, rather than depend n ntes during the presentatin prcess.

C.T find ut the reasn why peple like teaching.
D.T check the reasn fr learning-by-teaching effect.

A.hw lng the study lastedB.wh tk part in the study
C.what result the study shwedD.hw the study was perfrmed
29.What can we learn frm the study?

Technlgy has dne ur wrld wnders: frm develpment in medicine, travel, cmmunicatin, t ur day-t-day lives. Technlgy presents a new platfrm fr creativity t exist(存在)n. Thrugh technlgy, ideas can be set free and cme t life in the physical wrld. Is there a way t find a balance between technlgy and human creativity? I think s. It is simply a matter f making sure that creativity is nt deterred by technlgy. Once yu becme used t these, yu will feel surprised hw little yu think abut yur phne.
Anther wnderful way is t take daily walks in the nature. It can help yu reset, rebalance, and keep ging. In the lng run, a daily walk can nt nly influence ur creativity and imaginatin but further ur physical and mental(思想的)health. We can als develp ur creativity by ding yga, keeping a jurnal, r reading.
The key t the survival(生存)f ur creativity starts with us. Will yu put yur phne away when spending time with friends? Will yu try t find happiness and purpse utside f a screen? The actins yu chse t take will help change the relatinship between creativity and technlgy fr the better.
