1．基数词与序数词的相互转换
基数词表示数量，序数词表示顺序。现将初中常用基数词与序数词“对照表”如下：

基数词变序数词口诀基变序，有规律，末尾加上th；一二三，特殊记，t、d、d，来结尾；八加h，九去e，ve要用f替；以y结尾变ie，后跟th莫忘记；若想表示几十几，只变个位就可以。
2．基数词的用法
（1）1000以上的基数词的表示方法是;从右向左用分节号“，”分节，每三个数字为一个节，第一个分节号前用thusand,第二个分节号前用millin，第三个分节号前用 billin（美）或 thusand millin（英）。

（2）hundred，thusand，millin，billin等用在具体的数字后面时不能加-s或 f；hundred；thusand，
millin，billin等前面没有具体的数字时通常加-s或f。

thusands f 成千上万的 millins f数百万的
（3）“基数词十单数名词”相当于复合形容词，作名词的定语，用于表示时间、距离等。
the 100-meter race 100米赛跑
a ten-minute walk 10分钟的步行路程
3．序数词的用法
（1）序数词前必须加the。
The secnd is what I really need.第二个是我真正需要的。
（2）序数词前若有限定词，则可以不用加the。
It is my third time t visit Beijing.这是我第三次访问北京。
（3）序数词前面也可以加不定冠词a或an，表示“又一；再”，内含顺序性。
We've tried it three times. Must we try it a furth time？
我们已经试过三遍了。还必须再试一次（第四次）吗？
4．数词的应用
年份日期
*月，日，年（日用序数，年用基数）
特别提示：年份的读法可先读前两位数，再读后两位数，读日时要加 the
Nvember the twenty-first, twenty eighteen 2018年11月21日
*日，月，年（the＋序数词＋f十月，年）
the twenty-first f Nvember.

年代
*in＋the十数词的复数形式
in the 1720’s／1720s 在18世纪20年代
读作：in the seventeen twenties
时刻
*时在前，分在后，按基数词读 ten fifteen 10:15
*分在前，时在后
“几点过几分”用past，分钟数须小于半小时（包括半小时在内）
five past seven 7:05 fifteen past seven 7:15 half past seven 7:30
“几点差几分”、用介词t，但分钟数须在半小时以内（不包括半小时在内）

*几刻中

编号
*给东西编号时，序号在前用序数词，序号在后用基数词
lessn twelve= the twelfth lessn
分数
*分子用基数词，分母用序数词
记忆口诀：
分子基，分母序，分子大于1，分母加s，
特别提示1/2通常用 a／ne half 表示，1/4用a／ne quarter表示
ne third 1/3 tw thirds 2/3 fur fifths 4/5 seven tenths /10
*带分数：当分数前面带有整数时，要用连词and连接 tw and tw thirds 223
倍数
英语用twice表示两倍，twice 两倍，两倍以上用基数词加times表示
three times 三倍 frty times 四十倍

考点二概数词的用法
考点讲解
1．表示确切的数目
当 hundred, thusand, millin 等概数词前有基数词修饰表示确切的数目时,其后不加-s,也不与f连用。
five hundred peple 500人
2．表示不确切的数目
当 hundred，thusand，millin 等概数词表示“数百、数千、数百万”等大概的数目时，其后要加-s，且与f连用，但前面不能再加数字。
