    Teaching Prcedures
    Step 1. A guessing game
    1.Bring a pht f mine t the class and say t the students: This is a pht f me Lk at it and guess which cuntry it is. Write the wrd cuntry n the blackbard.
    2.Ask the student t guess at the cuntry. (It was Thailand.) Write the wrd Thailand n the blackbard. Ask the students t read this wrd after me.
    Step 2. Presentatin
    1.Grup wrk: The students wrk in grups f fur t cllect as many names f cuntries as they can. List the wrds n the blackbard.
    2.Read all the names f the cuntries.
    Step 3. Presentatin
    1.Shw the students sme pictures f places f interest in the wrld. Teach the students the names f these places.
    2.Talk abut each picture like this: Where is Munt Fuji? It is in Japan.
    3.Read these wrds: Japan, France, The USA, The UK, Thailand, Russia
    Step 4. Practice
    1.Ask the students t finish P7, A.
    2.Read these wrds in pairs. Ask mre able students t say a sentence like this: Munt Fuji is in Japan.
    Step 5. Presentatin
    1.Shw the students a pht f Tiananmen Square and ask them where it is. Then write dwn this sentence n the blackbard: Beijing is the capital f China. Clr the wrld f capital.
    2.Teach this wrd.
    Step 6. Practice
    1.Matching: ask the students t finish a matching game:

    2.Ask and answer like this: What city is the capital f China? Beijing is the capital f China.
    3.Ask the students t finish P7, B. Then ask the students t read the sentences ludly.

    Step 6. Presentatin
    1.Ask the students smething abut Eddie and Hb. Tell them that they are living in Beijing nw. Tday they are talking abut where t live. Lk at tw pictures first.
    2.Shw the students tw pictures. One is a picture f a palace and the ther is a picture f a restaurant. Teach the wrd palace.
    3.Ask the students where they want t live. Then ask them t guess where Eddie wants t live and why.
    Step 7. Reading
    1.Ask the students t read the dialgue between Eddie and Hb. Try t find ut: Which is Eddie’s favrite restaurant? Why des he like the biggest ne?
    2.Play the tape fr the students t listen and repeat.
    3.Ask them t recite the dialgue.
    Step 8. Acting
    1.Ask the students t read and remember the dialgue in pairs.
    2.Chse sme pairs t act the dialgue ut.
    Step 9. Hmewrk
    1. Preview next perid.
    2. Recite the new wrds and dialgue tday.
    3. Finish the exercises f the first perid in 同步导学.
