If you ask me what my favorite sport is, my answer is swimming. I started learning how to swim when I was five years old and I have been swimming ever since. There are many reasons why I love swimming but I'll just share a few with you, and maybe I can even encourage you to go for a swim.
The first reason why I love swimming is that it can be extremely relaxing. I love the feeling of floating on the water and feeling almost weightless. I find that whenever I leave the pool I feel totally relaxed.
On the other hand, it can also be a fast-paced competitive sport which raises your heartbeat. It's amazing pushing yourself to the challenges of beating someone else to finish line and it's great fun racing across the pool as fast as you can! Trying little tricks like underwater handstands and flips also puts a big smile on my face.
Another reason why I love swimming is that it has more varieties than other sports. Swimming offers many different strokes, so it doesn't feel like you're stuck doing the same thing over and over again. Adding swimming equipment like flippers a snorkel or a noodle changes the experience yet again and can help you develop your swimming technique.
In the summer, swimming provides a nice refreshing break! There’s nothing better than jumping into the water on a hot, sweltering summer s day. The pool makes you feel instantly better. And I think it adds to the summer holiday feeling, as for me the summer months are when I swim most.
And finally, it's a life skill which everyone should have Not only is it good for your health, but you never know when you' ll need your ability to swim

It's interesting to have a chance to teach English abroad because you get to see a completely different education system from the one you experienced. I am teaching in Belgium this year and I have noticed that there are some big differences.
In the UK for example, as many of you know, it is common to wear a school uniform. If students all wear the same thing then, in theory, they will feel less excluded as everyone looks theme. It is also nice to wear a school uniform because you don’t have to think about what to wear in the morning; you just put on your uniform and go off. This saves a lot of time as you don’t have to worry about what to wear, what looks nice and what is fashionable.
Another difference I have noticed also concerns clothing; teachers dress in more relaxed way in Belgium. They wear jeans and trainers, for example. In my experiences in the UK, teachers dress much more formally to work in a school. They wear similar things to the people who work in an office; shirts and ties for men; dresses, skirts, dark trousers and shirts for women.
As I am working with older students who are aged from 16-18, I have also noticed that they have a lot more subjects than I did at their age. In the UK, at 16 you enter “the sixth form” and you have to choose four subjects. Some people like this, as it means they do not have to study subjects they don’t like. Others feel that it is too early to make such a big choice, because the subjects they choose at 16 will have an impact on what they can study at university.me? I loved this system. I threw myself into my four favorite subjects. I am grateful for the experience I had.

In a study of young people in the UK aged 12-20, half of them said they had been bullied. About 1. 5 million young people in the UK were bullied last year. People who are bullied are more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety. They might lose interest in the activities they enjoyed spending time with other people and not go to classes or school.
Bullying is not just physical, like hitting or kicking someone, or taking their things without permission. Bullying can also be with words-saying or writing things that are not nice. Another type of bullying is social-choosing not to include someone, embarrassing someone or telling other people not to be friends with them. Bullying can happen at school, on public transport, when you're walking home, online. In fact, it can happen anywhere.
Bullying usually involves more people than you think. There are bullies and those who are bullied. Sometimes other people help the bully or join in. Then there are the kids that support the bully -they don’t bully anyone directly, but they support the bullying by being an audience. The laugh or encourage the bully in other ways. This is why it's important for everyone to work together against bullying. Some children see what is happening and want to help, although they don t know how others may comfort and defend the person being bullied. To stop bullying we need everyone to be brave and take a stand.
Does your school do anything to prevent bullying? Why don't you create a student bullying group? This group can do many things. Let the head teacher know how well the school is doing with fighting against bullying and give some. Choose an anti-bullying slogan for your school, make posters and displays or take over the schools social md for a week to send out anti-bullying messages.
Bullying is a social problem and it needs a solution from society-in other words, everyone. The next time you see someone being cruel to someone else, take a stand! Don’t laugh or ignore what’s happening. Tell an adult as soon as possible and help everyone to realize that bullying is not OK.

Technology is everywhere. We see it any place we go and, in fact, almost all of us carry some pieces of technology with us every time we leave the house, what I always forget, though, is just how useful and powerful technology can be when we want to help others.
There is not a single room in my house that does not have some electronic devices(设备)lying around in it. Whenever I am at home, I am almost always using at least one electronic device. If you walked into my living room on any given day, you would find that, first, I have the television on. At the same time, I usually have my laptop resting on my knee, or I will be using my mobile phone. Even when I'm not at home I am always using my phone, and at work or in cafes, I sit down and connect to the local wireless network on my iPad.
I must say that I waste a lot of time on the computer and the time I spend on it could be much better spent if I were to take up a little online volunteering.
The technology we carry about everywhere can have a great power to do good for the world and to help others and recently I discovered just how much online volunteering there is to do in the world From using your language skills to do translations, to developing and managing projects and helping with IT work, there is so much that so many people can do to help people in their own countries and across the world. The United Nations, in fact, has a huge page with “volunteers recruited” on its website.
This work can support the poor and help charities who cannot pay for staff. Many organizations only require you to work an hour a week-some even less. And the support provided by online volunteers can really help make a difference to those in need.
72 From Paragraph 2, we can know that the writer .
A. uses technology a lot B works in a cafe
C. is a computer engineer D. likes modem music
73. The underlined word "Recruited" in Paragraph 4 means
A. Ordered B Wanted C. Visited D Warned
74. In the writer's opinion. People should spend more time with technology.
A working on computer programs B. keeping the Internet safe
C inventing electronic products D. helping people in need
75. What can be the best title for the passage?
A. Website Design B Internet Organizations
C. Online Volunteering D. Online Translation
