when 指时间,在从句中作时间状语,先行词通常为:time, day, mrning, night, week, year... where 指地点,在从句中作地点状语,先行词通常为:place, spt, street, huse, rm, city, twn, cuntry... why 指原因或理由,它的先行词只有reasn

关系副词使用注意点②:当ccasin 表示“ a particular time r instance f an event(特定的)时刻;场合” 时,定语从句引导词用when:Describe an ccasin when yu had t give up sme imprtant things.当pint, situatin,psitin, case, cnditin, stage(阶段),等词作先行词表示“情况,境地,场合”等意思时,定语从句引导词用 where:We are in a psitin where we may lse a large sum f mney.关系副词使用注意点③:在意义上关系副词(when/where/why)= 介词 + whichI was in Beijing that day when (=n which) he arrived.The ffice where (=in which) he wrks is n the third flr. 非限制性定语从句与限制性定语从句的区别
限制性定语从句:对先行词起修饰限制作用,如果去掉,主句意思不完整明确The accident happened at the time when I left.非限制性定语从句:对先行词的附加说明,与主句的关系不十分密切His mther, whm he lved deeply, died ten years ag.限制性定语从句:先行词是名词、代词或名词性短语 非限制定语从句:除了这三种之外,还可以是整个句子The meeting was put ff, which gave us mre time t prepare.

(1)只用 that 的情况:
❤ 先行词是物且为不定代词,或被不定代词修饰时包括:all, much, few, little, any, sme, n, every(+thing)...【例 1】He tld me everything that he knws.【例 2】All the bks _________ yu ffered have been given ut. ❤ 先行词被形容词最高级和序数词修饰时 【例 1】This is the best film that I have ever seen. 【例 2】Yu are the first persn that treat me with respect.❤ 先行词是物,且被 the nly, the very 修饰时【例】This is the very place that I am lking fr.

(2)只用 which, wh, whm 的情况
❤ 在非限制性定语从句中,只能用 which 指代物,用 wh/whm 指人【例】He has a sn, wh has gne abrad fr further study.❤ 在由“介 词+关系代词”引导的定语从句中,只能用 which 指物,whm 指人【例】I like the persn t whm the teacher is talking. ❤ 先行词本身是 that,指物时,关系词用 which 先行词为 thse, ne, he,指人时,多用 wh【例 1】That which I say and d is my wn affair.【例 2】Thse wh respect thers are usually respected by thers.

(1)限制性定语从句: 名词前有 such, s, as 和 the same 修饰时,关系代词用 as:Dn’t read such bks as yu can’t understand. This is the same cmputer as I used yesterday.
