1. What des the excerpt describe? It describes the struggle between the ld man and the fish. The ld man struggled t cnquer the fish while the fish struggled t escape.
2. Did the ld man nearly catch the fish? Hw d yu knw? Yes, he did. In line 9 it says “Fr just a mment the fish turned a little n his side”. And in line 25 it tells us “On the next turn, he nearly had him.”
3. When the ld man saw the fish turned a little n his side (line 9), what did he say? And in what emtin did he say that? “I mved him,” the ld man said. “I mved him then.” He was excited t see that he was able t pull the fish.

I think this sentence shws the pwer f strng will. Even if yu lse a physical battle, yu can still win a mental battle. As lng as yu dn’t give in mentally (yu are nt “defeated”), yu can still be prud f yurself, even thugh yur bdy is “destryed”.
