“Can I hold one for a minute?” a little girl squealed with excitement. Then all the other children gathered like a choir, begging to hold one of the kittens. “Yes,” I said, “but only for a minute. It never occurred to me that they were all staring at me or I was talking in front of the class. My heart swelled with pride and a newfound confidence that I could not have imagined before my sweet cats rescued me. For the rest of the day and the days that followed, I proudly sat among my classmates with a new sense of worth and importance.

M: Welcome to Windsor Castle, one of the world's oldest and largest castles. Windsor is one of the official houses of the Queen, who sometimes stays here.

We offer free tours to blind and poor- sighted visitors. We also provide guided tours. Visitors can explore the history of the castle with an expert guide. For those visiting with children, a special family tour and various safe activities are offered during school holidays and at weekends.

   Tours start throughout the day from the Courtyard and finish at the entrance to the State Apartments. However, visitors arriving at the castle after 3:00 pm from March to October are advised to visit St. George's Chapel first before it closes.

读后续写的评分原则：

一、本题总分为 25 分，按 5 个档次进行评分。

1.评分时，应主要从内容、词汇语法和篇章结构三个方面考虑，具体为：

（1）创造内容的质量，续写的完整性以及与原文情境的融洽度。

（2）使用词汇和语法结构的准确性、恰当性和多样性。

（3）上下文的衔接和全文的连贯性。
